CyBEEsat Launch Day
Today is an exciting day for CyBEEsat. 🚀
Isar Aerospace is targeting Mission “Onward and Upward” later today, with our CyBEEsat onboard. For the livestream and official updates, please follow Isar Aerospace’s official channels.
CyBEEsat may be a small 1U CubeSat, but it carries many ideas from research, education and technology demonstration:
• ROSI experiment from Universität Potsdam, testing novel #perovskite solar cells in space
• RACCOON OS and the CyBER OBC, exploring secure onboard computing
• A compact RF transceiver for the Short Duration Mission band
• Fluid-based attitude experiment and 3D printed components
Space is always a team effort. CyBEEsat is a result of years of work by a dedicated team led by the Chair of Space Technology - TU Berlin, together with the ROSI group from Felix Lang at the University of Potsdam, the Berlin Nanospacecraft Alliance, 2BCOM Space, Quantum Galactics GmbH and local partners, students, researchers and many contributors who supported the mission with time, hardware, software and dedication.
Attached are a few moments from this journey: the CyBEEsat flight model shortly before delivery, integration with Exolaunch, and some of our team members at Andøya in February with Spectrum on the launch pad. 📡 🚀 🛰️
A big thank you also to Isar Aerospace, Exolaunch and the Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur im DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V.) for enabling this important mission and supporting Europe’s growing space capabilities.
More information about our CyBEEsat mission and all experiments onboard can be found in press release from Technische Universität Berlin in the first comment below. ℹ️ 👇
